About Association for Women in Science New York Metropolitan

We serve scientists in the NYC and Metropolitan NY area.

Our mission is to empower women to enter, remain, and advance in science careers both inside and outside academia. We provide professional development training and a supportive community with opportunities for networking and mentoring.

Our mission is to support women in science by:

- Providing networking events
- Organizing career building events for all levels
- Reaching out to young women to encourage their interest in science
Members of our board have experience in putting together courses for teenagers designed to excite them about science. Such classes would go above and beyond what they learn in school.
