CREW Silicon Valley seeks to promote the high standards, professional ethics and integrity of its members; assist, support and sponsor educational enterprises; and provide networking opportunities. CREW Silicon Valley members have an average of 14 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry, over 90% of the members hold college or graduate degrees, and more than 63% of CREW Silicon Valley members are presidents, CEOs, partners or senior managers of their firms.

CREW Silicon Valley was started in 1981 by five women in commercial property management to address the need for a women’s organization focused on networking. The original name of the organization was South Bay Property Manager’s Association. As the organization grew and members of other real estate disciplines joined, the organization changed its name to South Bay Association of Women in Commercial Real Estate, which was later changed to Association of Women in Commercial Real Estate, which begot CREW San Jose, which begot CREW Silicon Valley. CREW Silicon Valley joined CREW Network in 1994.
