About Hawaii Women Lawyers

Hawaii Women Lawyers is a 501(c)(6) non-profit organization, founded in 1976 and incorporated in 1982. Our mission is to improve the lives and careers of women attorneys, influence the future of our legal profession, enhance the status of women, and promote equal opportunities for all.

In furtherance of this mission, HWL educates, mentors, and promotes women attorneys by actively working on issues affecting the legal profession, women professionals, and women and children in need. In addition, HWL organizes, participates, and supports public and private activities and projects which further its mission, including legislation, judicial appointments, career, and health and welfare matters that affect our community.
