About Oregon Women Lawyers

Oregon Women Lawyers was incorporated in 1989 as a 501(c)(6) non-profit professional association. Interest in forming a statewide women’s bar organization grew out of meetings of the Multnomah Bar Association’s Committee on the Status of Women in 1987-88.

Our mission is to transform the legal profession by pursuing equitable access to the legal system and equity for women and communities who are systemically oppressed.
