Strong Women, Strong Girls champions the aspirations and potential of girls and women through a innovative mentorship program.

In its first year, SWSG engaged just six college women and 30 elementary school girls. SWSG incorporated as a nonprofit organization in 2004 and expanded to Pittsburgh, PA, in 2006. Since that time, our elementary school girl program has grown rapidly at the request of schools, communities, parents, and college women to serve more than 1,250 girls every year.

Our mission is to empower girls to imagine a broader future through a curriculum grounded on female role models delivered by college women mentors, who are themselves mentored by professional women.

Our vision is that every girl and woman realize her inner strengths to dream and do.
